He writes - MMA Tripura is one of the most popular and fastest growing sport in Tripura.
Our aim is to promote the art of MMA to the masses especially to the youths, so with this aim we started approaching various private schools where we can directly teach the students, may not be daily but at-least on Saturdays.
We first approached the Principal of Assam Rifles School, Rangamura of Teliamura Sub-Division and discussed about introducing MMA in the school curriculum and the Principal accepted it. Today there are around five students from Assam Rifles School who are medalists in MMA India National Championships held in between the year 2022-2023.
Likewise we started introducing MMA in Holy Cross School – Karbook, Holy Cross School – Depacherra and Don Bosco School – Mandwi.
Our aim is to educate and promote MMA from grassroots level so that when they grow they can master it the art and fight in various championships. MMA is not only about fight but also teaches you about Respect & Discipline and gives you all the health benefits.
We will be approaching all the private institutions as much possible so that MMA is known to all and make MMA is for all. Side by side our trainers will able to earn little amount from the school and support themselves for their livelihood.
Our message is, “Learn MMA, fight MMA and bring laurels to our state, nation and the school they belong” MMA is for all. Say NO to Drugs, say NO to gambling’s and start learning MMA.
Tripura State Mixed Martial Arts Association is the sole governing body in Tripura, affiliated with MMA India and Member of International Mixed Martial Arts Federation – IMMAF since 2015.
